Five elected officials including two newly elected Bernalillo County Commissioners were sworn into office on January 1, at the Bernalillo County District Courthouse. The officials taking the Oath of Office include: Linda Stover, County Clerk; Nancy Bearce, County Treasurer; Steven Michael Quezada, Commissioner for District 2; Adriann Barboa, Commissioner for District 3; and Walt Benson, Commissioner for District 4.

Bernalillo County Manager Julie Morgas Baca would like to extend a sincere thank you to all residents of the county on behalf of the Bernalillo County Commission and staff for supporting six general obligation bond measures on the November 2019 ballot.

Five separate projects, $500 million dollars, 1,200 permanent jobs, 1,300 construction jobs. Amazon, Ben E. Keith, Fed Ex and New Mexico Fresh Foods and Wagner Equipment are locating or relocating along the I-40/I 25 corridors with the ability to move goods and services regionally across the U.S.

Bernalillo County takes the concerns of MDC inmates and their families seriously while the Coronavirus continues to increase in numbers in our community. County Manager Julie Morgas Baca addresses the families of inmates being held at the MDC directly.
